I finally decided to accept an offer from a company and will start my new job a week from today. I interviewed with about 5 or 6 companies, and think I made the right decision. It's tough when you've worked at the same place for 8 years to feel what's right for you, but I think I did it. I turned down an offer for slightly more money, but I think the company I went with is a better pick. Just felt more right for me. Plus, it's only 10 minutes away from where my works, which is a plus.

I decided not to pursue any further action against my former company for my termination. From what I hear, they've got enough problems to contend with. Along with me, 2 other people of the 6 that were there, have been let go. It seems as though it wasn't a personal issue against me, rather than a "let's clean house and bring in our own people" campaign. Hey, it stinks, but who wants to work for management like that anyways?

One last thing I wanted to share - Not sure how many Dis Vets remember the tough time I had last year with my wife having 2 miscarriages in a row at 6 and 7 weeks of pregnancy, but I'm happy to say, she's currently 10 weeks pregnant. We went to the docs 2 weeks ago and we got to hear the heartbeat. That was amazing!! What was more amazing was when the nurse asked if we'd like to hear the other heartbeat. We're having twins!!!!

Congratulations all around!!! We have twins. They are a BLAST! Be nice to your DW, the pregnancy isn't always fun with twins. I was roughly the size of a whale by the end (our twins were 7 lbs 5 oz and 6 lbs 7 oz).

Oh, believe me, I will do EVERYTHING I can to make my wife feel better than she has been. She's been really sick and uncomfortable the last few weeks. The doc says that so far, everything looks perfect though. We are a bit worried with twins being a more complex pregnancy though. Especially since they appear to be in the same sac. After 2 miscarriages, you get very on edge. However, we're much further along this time than we were the last 2 times, so I pray everything goes well. I'm so excited - I can barely wait until March gets here!

Congratulations on your great baby news - and your job.
You'll have to keep us updated on the babies and on how your wife is feeling. Your so lucky to be having twins.

congrats w/the job and twins on the way!!! That is incredible news. Keep us posted :cool1: lots of p&pd for you and your growing family!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Oh, even better, identical twins!!!!! The best advice I got when I was pregnant with our twins that was when I started showing to really cut down on anything that required holding my arms out for a length of time, like washing dishes, cutting up a lot of veges, those types of things. I was told to sit and do those things if I had to do them. It helps take the stress off the abdominal muscles which can lead to contractions. Anything she can do to prevent that is good. No sweeping, vacuuming, etc. after about 20 weeks or so.

Hopefully your OB will refer you to a perinatologist since having twins in the same sack is more high risk. You will also get a bunch of great ultrasound pictures done this way. She will have to visit the dr a lot more frequently but it is nice in a why because then you get that extra assurance that everything is ok.

I went 38 weeks with out twins and would have gone longer if I didn't make my OB give me a C-Section because I wanted VERY MUCH to be done being pregnant. Our twins are now 11 and are awesome kids. It has been so fun watching them grow up!

Congrats on the new job. I didn't *know* you when you were terminated? Not sure what happened to you but I'm glad it worked out. What kind of work do you do?

YEAH on the twins!! How exciting!! Here's to a comfortable pregnancy!

Congratulations! And my prayers are with you and your wife... I do hope all goes well with the twins! You both deserve tons of happiness this will bring :goodvibes:

Ahhh - identicle twins then... Congrats!
My nieces were monoamniotic twins - it was a VERY frightening pregnancy for my sister and BIL. Take care and best of luck :)

Congrats on the new job and especially the babies! I remember when your wife miscarried. :grouphug: to you both.

WOW!! :cheer2: Congratulations on the babies and the job!!!

CONGRATS ON THE JOB, AND THE TWINS!!! :grouphug:
P & PD to you and your wife that everything goes well on this pregnancy, and the job!!

In the same sac, that means either identical twins or polar (or half-identical) twins! I know a lot of people haven't heard of half-identical twins (and it is fairly rare) but that is what my twin sister and I are.

Congratulations on all of the wonderful things happening in your life right now. I'm so glad to hear you found another job so quickly.
