I am really happy that a friend recommended that I check out this site. I am about to purchase DVC (BCV) and have found this site very useful. The participants are always willing to help, even if it means answering the same question over and over.

Also, I find that the messages are always on the topic and don't stray to idle conversations, like AOL boards do.

Finally, does anybody from WDW or DVC view/monitor this site?

Yes, Disney does monitor the site. They won't officially contribute to the discussions, but there are many Cast Members who participate individually in the discussions here.

I am glad you found this site. The vets will be especially helpful to you in your DVC quest before and after purchase.
I wish that I would have known about this site before we bought into DVC. I probably would have been a DVC member that much sooner.

And by the way I have been on a couple of those "other sites", I would compare them to The Eagles old song "Wasted Time".

Good luck on your decision and dont wait like we did and let the price go up. I could still kick myself!!!!

We bought into DVC in 1999, but I didn't find out about this site until December of 2001. I am glad we did!!!!!

Welcome to the DIS boards, AEN!!

I found these boards about a year ago and the veterans were so helpful while I researched DVC. I joined about two months after posting a series of questions here.

Since then, we've taken two trips to DVC resorts and now I enjoy sharing some of the experience and a little knowledge with newcomers, as well as batting opinions around with the veterans!

Good luck in your decision process. There are no bad questions. And while you'll get many opinions, virtually everyone here is more interested in you making the right decision than we are with "pushing" DVC.

Welcome to DISboards. I haven't been here that long myself but have to say that everyone has been very helpful. You will get the pros and cons, good and bad, etc. which makes this site the best that I have found on the web regarding DVC. I have introduced a few friends to this site too. JMHO

This site contributed more to our decision to finally buy into DVC than anything else. We had thought about it for years without being able to decide, then I found this site. In less than a year we had decided to buy and that we had made a mistake in not buying years ago.
The people here are wonderful about answering any and all questions. It is so helpful to be able to read posts from people that have 'been there, done that'.

I found these boards last year as I was doing some trip research and now I am hooked. I learned much here about DVC, that when I took the tour in Jan, it was all confirming info I learned here.

If you have any last minute questions before taking the DVC plunge ask away, you will get many great answers here.
