Forum Jump Curiosity

I often use the "Forum Jump" feature found on the bottom of all the thread pages of the DIS, which I've found convenient to jump to the forums I visit the most.

I've always been curious as to the placement order of the list of forums though. They're not in any alphabetical order. They don't seem to be in any order. I find it odd that the Disneyland Forum is way down the list, as is the DCL Forum.

Anyone have an explanation to this? Any chance it will be organized better in the future?

Although the URL says index, it is more like the chapters listed in the front of a book rather than the index in the back of the book.

I'm sorry, but that is not really a responsive answer.

For example, in the Trip Planning Forums, disABILITIES was in long before either the Adult and Solo or the G&L forums were added, and they were both in place before the ABD and Podcast forums.

Maybe the original question should have been why is the sequence on the home page set up the way it is; as it is in neither alphabetic nor chronologic order within any major category.
