Hi everyone I am new to this. My family and I are thinking about going to Disney World next May. We are thinking about taking a day to go to Fort Wilderness and have the kids do archery and horseback riding. Has anyone done this before?

We have been to Ft. Wilderness EVERY 4th of July for the past 8 years. The pony rides are cute for 5.00, but the horse trail riding is long, and hot for kids...and teens might be bored.
Archery is good, my grand did enjoy it and he's 7, a bit expensive for one so young. The thing we loved was the canoes...we loved racing each other and the price was great!
Every other year we go into a theme park the day after the 4th and it's been wonderful, no real waits on any of the rides. We did MK this past July 5th, even stopped and had the boys get their hair cuts on Main Street, so worth it!
I can only hope that one day DVC will utilize Ft. Wilderness...love that place!
