We are thinking of taking an afternoon to visit Fort Wilderness. I've read that you can rent bikes here? Anyone know the cost? Also, where would we go when we arrive to find the bikes? I've never been to this campground before so have no idea where things are located. We would probably drive our own car there. What else can we do there, besides eat at Trail's End (which we will do also) ?

Thanks!

There is also horseback riding, and hayrides throughout the day. You can also take the boat to the Contemporary and Magic Kingdom from the boat dock.

Right behind the petting zoo there is the stable that houses the draft horses that pull the Main Street trolleys and the ponies that pull Cinderella's carriage for weddings. You can walk around part of it (although you're not supposed to touch the horses) and there's a small room that's kind of a museum about horses and Walt. DH and I had fun walking around there.

HTH:)

If you drive over you will need to park by the check in area and take the internal FW buses to the Pioneeer Hall area, where the petting zoo and horses are. The bike rental is at the Meadows trading area I believe which is in the middle of the campground, along with the campfire area. You canride your bikes on the trail to WL and of course around the campground.

They also have a campfire every night with a movie and Chip and Dale walk around for awhile before the movie. It's alot of fun too!
