We are a family of 5 staying at Fort Wilderness for the Thanksgiving Holidays but we have other family members staying off of Disney and was wondering if Disney would allow them to come and eat Thanksgiving Dinner at our camper. I appreciate any input on this. Thanks in advance:bounce: :Pinkbounc :D

They just have to park in the lot near the entrance and use the internal buses to get to your site.
You may want to post this on the camping board for more input.
Have a great trip!

There shouldn't be any problem. Mom had visitors last year when we stayed at Old Key West. They planned to meet at the restaurant there and have a meal. Ask at check-in and they'll tell you what to do. It may mean a call to the main gate the day your friends are due to arrive. Also, traffic in the campground is restricted and it's possible your friends will be asked to leave their vehicle at the main gate and take the bus in, or have you pick them up.

Have fun!

We stay at FW for extended periods of time and always have visitors coming and going. There is a guard shack when you first drive in to FW, whereupon a guard will greet you. You tell him that you are visiting so and so, and if you have the site # of the person you are visiting, that will help him. You then park your car in the visitors lot (which is also Hoop-de-doo Parking) and go catch the bus to the appropriate loop you are visiting. The bus stop is just opposite of the guard shack and is situated next to the kennels/horseback riding. Before hopping on any old bus, make sure you check the map and find out which color bus you should be on ...... also double-check with the driver. It sounds harder than it is, but all of our visitors have always made it in and out without a hitch!

We have an annual visit to meet family at WDW.

They camp with RV and we hit a hotel. We always do a meal or two at the camper.

If you will have parking for the family's car (they usually had room for our car) then one of them meets us in the parking lot. Uses their room key to open the gate and we drive in to their spot.

That is so much easier than the bus, especially when we leave!

Yes, when you check in, they will ask you if you are expecting visitors. Just let them know about it and they will note it. We always meet our visitors at the front check in, so they don't have to wait for the bus.
