Has anyone ever had one? Just out of curiosity because I really am falling in love with mason jars, bbq and pumpkins! Are there any non official or official venues that they can rent out? Thanks for any information.

subbing because I am curious too. I had dreams of renting out HDDR for my reception at one point...

I am a Swan bride but I'd love to know as well (just for fun!).. that would be such a gorgeous place for a wedding!

It would be a beautiful place to have one I think. Our wedding will still be in April though but think that this theme can be done really well any time of the year, especially due to it's surrounding already being the theme itself. And it'd be a resort so I'd be able to still take outside photography and bring some of my diy decor. Man, I really hope they have something. A good old southern BBQ!! It'd be so relaxed. The ideas are going off the wall here for me.

there was a story somewhere about a pocahantas themed wedding at fort wilderness. it was a truly beautiful event.

i tried to search for it but couldn't find it here on the disboards. maybe it was on another site? just another sign i have been "researching" for far too long.

This is all I was able to find for you...

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

It's time for a Hoe-down! Host a fun, relaxed "welcome party" at Disney's Fort Wilderness cookout pavilion. This pavilion can host groups sized from 25 people to 250 people and allows you and your guests the perfect setting to gather together the day before the wedding.

and this directly off the DFTW site under themed weddings...

What are the different types of theme weddings available at Disney?

We have hosted such a wide variety of "themed" weddings--each of them different and unique. We have hosted Medieval weddings, Winter Wonderland Weddings, a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" Wedding, "Beauty & the Beast" Ball Weddings, a "Hollywood Grandeur" Wedding, "Under the Sea Weddings" at the Living Seas Pavilion, a Native-American "Pocahontas" Wedding at Fort Wilderness and weddings in many of the countries around the World Showcase in Epcot® --to name just a few! Our team of wedding specialists is available to create the wedding theme of your dreams.

Thank you, both of you! I'm always at work and busy at home to research real deeply about these sort of things. I appreciate it! And they do rent out the Mickeys BBQ Pavilion for welcome parties but I wonder if they'd let us rent it for a reception so now it'll be time to ask some questions to DFTW! And I'd love to see the Pocahontas themed wedding!! Wow it sounds awesome and I'd doubt that one would have been held at the pavilion so this could possibly mean there's another location/venue to hold some sort of party.

Ah I can picture it now, mason jars filled with spring flowers, ribs, corn bread, mickey waffles! Chip and Dale wearing their little cowboy hats and bandanas. HA! :rotfl:

Will keep everyone updated about this and eventually I'll be changing my theme on my P.J. if this actually happens.

Just emailed the photographer to see if she had any information!! Maybe they had a photo session there but who knows, maybe they had their reception and wedding there too. Thank you everyone on the help <3 I've been researching myself as well. It's been fun!

I found this photographer's blog. Looks like she shot a wedding at Fort Wilderness last year...doesn't have any more info than that, though.

Good luck!

I saw that too... but doesn't look like an actual wedding was there by the looks of the pictures maybe just looks like they did a bridal or just a shoot there. But doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck.

I would just call DFTW and get more information as the stuff I pulled from their website seems as they can do it.
