Can I get some help on trying to pick a wilderness cabin loop that is close to the bus stops? We will probably rent a golf cart, but with a four year old grandson, I would like to get as central a location as we can .

Hi! Welcome to the DIS!

Here is a link to a map on DisneyCampers Web site! You can see where the cabins loops are toward the bottom of the map, and also where the bus stops are! Hope this help! :)

Welcome and Happy New Year!

You should get some good advice here.

DW and I had custody of 2DGSs (2yo and 4yo) for almost 2 years and stayed in the FW rv loops almost once a month. We used fold-up strollers to get to the bus stops and around the parks. When we took things slow they had no problem walking. Having the strollers was really good for the times we wanted to move faster than they could walk.

Just made resies yesterday for Dec. this year when they should be back here for vacation. Should be fun.

Enjoy your trip.

We just returned from a great week at Fort Wilderness. Our cabin number was 2103 which was near the front of the 2100 (Bobcat Bend) loop closest to the center of the campground. The bus stop was just across the street from the front of the loop, yet we were not bothered at all by bus noise. Although we had a cart for 5 of the 7 days (which was very convenient and the kids really enjoyed it!) our location was an easy walk to the Meadow Trading Post, Bike Barn, pool, and campfire area.

I would highly recommend the 2100 loop, and you could specifically request to be near the front of the loop to be near the bus stop.

Happy New Year to both of you! My daughter and son ( Evan's daddy) think I am crazy to be thinking about all of this stuff since we are not going until October 2007. But I say the better prepared we are, the better the trip. My daughter and I were in Disney in 2000. While it was a great trip, I can't wait to do Disney through a child's viewpoint. I wasn't going to bring a stroller for Evan, but now I am rethinking my plans. I guess a 4 year old can get crabby and tired very fast. When I first took Kelli and Dan to Disney, they were 6 and 7, so I didn't have to worry about all of this stuff. I can't believe that those same two are 27 and 29, boy does time fly!!!! :wizard:
