So if I stay at the campgrounds how far (est.) to a shower house/ restroom? I understand its alot cheaper than the Disney resorts but is it worth all the trouble to save a little extra cash? We would be staying in a tent btw.

My family stayed at Fort Wilderness in 2008 but we used our travel trailer. The restrooms in each loop were never too far away and were always very clean. We enjoyed staying there very much. You just can't beat that friendly camping atmosphere!

Try asking your questions on the camping board. I think you will find the answers you seek there.

The distance to restrooms or "comfort stations" as they call them varys somewhat based on exact campsite location, but there are enough of them that it is always a pretty short walk.

Depending on the weather when you go, tent camping might be a good option. Fort Wilderness has such a secluded feel that it is hard to believe you are a short bus and boat ride away from MK.

For more information the link to the camping section of the DIS boards is: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24

Whether you decide to camp there or not, FW is a fun resort to go check out during your trip.
