I just booked myself into Port Orleans Riverside for a week using the Buy 4, get 3 free offer. My sister (along with her husband and daughter) are also at Port Orleans. My folks have an RV that they were planning to park at a place about 35 miles away (they have a car that they would drive to the parks), but I'm thinking of putting them in Fort Wilderness. Wondering if the buy 4 nights, get three free rate applies there, too. If so, I'll definitely do it... anyone have a clue?

Thanks!

Word on the street (and in another recent thread) is that the 4/3 deal does not apply to campsites at FW. :sad2:

Sure doesn't ......... I just called this morning to check on that, and if was a big fat no. Do they have AAA or are they military? Sometimes you can get a code if you have a Disney Visa. It might be worth it for them to stay at Fort Wilderness simply for the fact of all of the time and money spent driving to and from the parks. Just a thought.........

I'm not disagreeing with the previous posters. I am sure they are right. And you DID say your parents have an RV.

But in case anyone else stumbles across this thread, I thought I'd mention that the 4/3 deal DOES apply to the cabins. I'm booked 1/31 thru 2/10 there with the deal. :upsidedow

awesome........what does that work out a night $$$ for 7 days ?

Hmm, wow, it does apply to the cabins? Maybe I need to get some more vacation time this year...lol.

Always nice to mix up some cabin trips into the Fort visits ;)

We are booked at the cabins as well on the buy 4 get 3 deal. We are staying March 21-27th. We are getting the $200 gift card, too! I'm soooo excited! We have a travel trailer, but we didn't want to tow it from Iowa in March (still could have snowstorms in March!) So we still get to stay at the Fort but without the stress of towing. :goodvibes

Yea, I'm looking forward to my gift cards on the birthdays this year, I'll take 75 bucks worth of free stuff thanks :)

We are passholders so we will get the gift card. I am interested to see what we can use it for!! The kids will love to go shopping ;-)

Well I know you can't use it for alchohol, food, or drinks. Also, some stores don't honor it (mainly Downtown Disney and a couple of the countries in Epcot, probably because of agreements with the stores or something, not sure).

Hmm, I bet DW would like a nice margarita pitcher set from Mexico...heh.

Many of the shops at DD and some at World Showcase are not Disney owned. The card can only be used at Disney owned stores.

Well, what we are paying is equivalent to my passholder rate of $169 a night (or very close to it). BUT I got the $200 Disney card on top of it.

Since I had passes, I removed all but one day of the theme park tickets. That may have been WHY my savings was so big.

you did real good..........:goodvibes :thumbsup2

We (family of 5) are booked for 7 days in March. Including tickets, around $2600 using the 4/3 deal, saving us around $1000.

Similar here but over President's week so our nightly rates were a mix of value, peak and regular. 7 nights with park hoppers, $3100 including tax. Our savings in moving the res to the 4/3 was about the same, 1K, enough to bascially cover the DDP.

Thanks! I guess I could have given you better numbers...

We're staying 7 nights (duh!) from and are paying $1300, plus we get the $200 gift card. Mind you, this only includes ONE adult and ONE child admission to the parks for ONE day. I didn't want any tickets, but you have to do at least a day for the 4/3 deal.

I thought it it was such a great deal, I went and tacked another 4 days at the end based on the passholder discount rate. So, now we're staying 11 nights for $1,800. :)
