HI..
I have an opportunity to relocate to FT Walton with my job.
I would be working at the airport. Can anyone recommend a
good are to live as a single parent? My son is elementary age.
Any advise would be great.

Niceville schools have the best reputation. Specifically Bluewater and Plew Elementary. We are moving back to Niceville from Utah in 3 weeks. Hubby is AF. Hope you find a great house in a good school district.

Fort Walton isn't really that bad. If you can get your kid into Gulf Breeze, they have good schools. Stay way from Pensacola/Escambia County schools. They are horrendous. You can find all of the Florida school "report cards" here: http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/

Go for Navarre.. but I am biased .
I know holley-navarre primary is great.
The middle schools are good, and Navarre High School is AMAZING
Although I do go there..haha.

I do recommend Niceville from the place you are working, though.

I would love to leave MI and head to FL.

go with Niceville. The schools are great and it's closer to the airport. All of the elementary schools are fantastic. I love living here.
