Fort Transportation Question

While I think the home waffle makers are kind of cool, They just don't look like Waffles to me. They look more like pancakes. For me waffles need those holes to hold the syrup.

Still, I guess it all depends on what you want. We almost always go to Ohana Breakfast. My DD11 absolutely loves Stitch, and we enjoy the breakfast as well as the interaction.

I agree! I bought a Mickey Waffle maker several years ago, used it once, then it just set in the cabinet until a clearing out of 'never used' paraphernalia for a community yard sale, out it went!

The mickey waffles are only special to us at Disney and need a 'belgian waffler' for those - just have to have the right setting! They don't taste the same anywhere else! :P At home, and camping elsewhere, our preference is Buckwheat pancakes rather than waffles.

We have had this debate, too. I have tried to replicate their waffles at home. The closest we have come is the Krusteaz brand belgian waffle mix. It smells just like Mickey Waffles, but still doesn't taste quite the same. And yes, you NEED to be able to fill the ears with syrup. :)

I try to watch the "Sugar" I eat for a multitude of reasons. So Waffles are bad enough, but add Syrup.... OMG!

That being said, When I am on vacation, I am on vacation from a lot of things and I am not as concerned (as much) about these things (such as syrup). To that end, I like the Syrup in the ears too.

Maybe not this much syrup, (I found the picture on the web) but it's a good example. :)

I know you said you don't have bikes or golf cart but having bikes for us at the Fort after having been there for the first time last year, is a MUST. I can't imagine getting around without one or the other with FW being so big. It made it so convenient and so enjoyable to go over to WL and just get around the campground.

I wish we could bring along bikes, but not everyone in our group is able to ride. My 4 (almost 5) year old has developmental/motor skill delays and cannot at this point ride a bike or even a big wheel proficiently enough. He's too large for bike baby seats. And, we don't own a bike trailer to pull him. Buying the equipment right now would cut into what we are saving by staying at the Fort. Hopefully we'll be able to bring bikes for everyone on our next trip :)
