Fort Regulars with 2 Great Danes?????

Talking with DH tonight and he was wondering about this couple we met a few years back on one of our Halloween trips. We were looping one evening and met a couple that had two of the most beautiful great danes. Since we had one at home, we stopped and had the nicest conversation with them about their dogs and their stays at the Fort. My kids nuzzled all over their dogs and we were wondering if they still come to the Fort.

Anyone have any idea who I'm talking about???

I do!! They've been wintering at the Fort since at least 2002. Maybe longer. They usually come in in October and leave late March, early April. They stay on the 1800 loop in the site next to the sidewalk to the comfort station. We chatted with them a couple of weeks before they left this past spring, and they were planning on coming in this fall. Should be here in a few weeks. Very, very nice people.

Thanks, Deb....! I was hoping they were still coming back with their "babies". Awesome people. Hope to "look them up" once we get there in a few weeks.

They are doing exactly what I'd like to do the first year DH retires and #3 goes to college......17 more years! Worth the wait!

I met them last year at the Dog park during our thanksgiving trip. They are very nice people. I love their Great Danes!!

The second set is from October, 2008. These folks were staying in the 700 loop. One of the dogs was named Molly.

OMG! Love it! It was the first couple we met. Great people. Danes are the most amazing dogs. Love these pics! Small, small world.

Every time we stay in the 1800 loop they are there. Cool people. His name is Roamy (spelling). They have the awesome Newall custom coach allways in site 1825. They breed Danes back in Texas. We first met them while walking our 2 Huskies in the 1800 loop in Dec 2003. Their dogs were so huge compared to ours. He had complete control with his dogs, no sign of aggression. We came back in late May 2004, celebrating our daughter's grad. from college and they were still in the same site! I love those folks!
