Very scary looking. They just showed Fort Myers on the weather and it looked nasty.

The camera keeps blowing in the winds...the one in Naples comes in and out....I feel so helpless up here and seeing my parents street on camera....and they are now planning the room which will best to hunker down in....and have pulled on mattress off the bed just in case they need to pull it over themselves. Several other friends of my brothers have shown up in the last 1/2 hour...because he is a whole 9 feet above sea level, most are at about 4 or 5. My dad just called on his cell phone, the t.v. has gone off and then on again....they have turned off the computer and unplugged a lot of electriacl things....said they are getting mostly "desk" reports on the news as many if not most of the media has been told to head inland. The category $ part is concerning to say the least.

It's hard to believe this is happening especially to a lot of beautiful beaches where DH and I have walked.

I hope everyone is safe and that damage is minimal.

We're waiting to book a resort on Anna Maria Island but I don't know what will happen now.

WMBarry is currently doing a rollercoaster tour (in PA I think) so is currently not at home in Fort Meyers.

He's here Snoops. He's doing a PA/NJ/Philly coaster tour. I'm going to try to reach him.

I tried to reach him twice this past week, and got nothing. (maybe bad cell service?)

I know that when I tried to call Barry the time that he came to Ohio for Cedar Point's opening day, I could not contact him. My son and I drove up to Sandusky to meet up with him, but we never did manage to get ahold of him until we were halfway home.

I hope that Barry's family is OK.
