I love food porn, but don't always like to venture over to the Dining boards to view some. One of my favorite things about Fort Trip Reports is when fellow Fiends share pictures of the awesome things they have enjoyed eating at the World.

So, how about a thread devoted to Fort Fiend Food Pics??

Ok, there's nothing I enjoy more than cooking and eating at my campsite at the Fort. And drinking. And when does it get much better than Thanksgiving?

We have spent time around Thanksgiving at the Fort for the past 3 years. Our first was Thanksgiving 2007. I remember walking around the loop saying hello to everyone that was cooking at their sites. It is interesting to see the different ways people prepare their turkeys. I think the most common method was the large electric roasters. And they sure do give off some good aromas! We chose to do ours in a Big Easy infrared fryer.

Here we are enjoying our turkey and all the trimmings at our site in the 300 loop:

The problem with pizza is that it is very subjective. I've heard the pizza at Trails End described anywhere from terrible to pretty good. I've never heard it described as excellent. So, depending on your perspective and what you are used to, chances are it would be merely "adequate" for you.

My suggestion would be, if you want to try the pizza, go to TE and order it, and then sit on the porch and enjoy as many beers as you can drink in the time the pizza is cooking. The more beers you drink, the better the pizza tends to taste.
