Fort exit change?

Tonight when we left the Fort (in search of the after hours pediatric urgent care center) exit traffic was routed out the normal camping entrance. It looks like they removed the gates that go up for the buses and exiting traffic. When we returned (7 stitches later) there was a sign indicating all fort wilderness traffic enter at the checking entrance. I was just wondering if anyone knows what is going on??

There was a permit several months ago for paving the bus entrance to the overflow lot. (The driving area that goes past the kennel)

Perhaps they are getting ready to finally do that.

A whole 6" ?, thats about what I have on either side back into the station.

Don't know the length of his or the exact length of ours, but our rescue and tanker (tender for you southern folks) are about the same length as the Disney buses with the Engine being a few feet shorter.

32' 10" goes into a bay thats only 36 ft deep. 7 yr old truck in a 55 year old station. Weighs about 42k

I forgot to answer your question. We were told that that entrance will be closed for about three weeks. They're installing a new gate. I hate those things. I've said that on my last day as a driver, I'm going to run thru as many as I can.
Three weeks to install a gate? Seems like a long time. Maybe they'll pave the road at the same time. It's pretty bad at the stop sign.

I thought we may be one of the only ones to look for an urget after hours care. Last trip to the fort, my little one got pink eye his first night. We were lucky to find a after hours pediatric care close to the fort. I believe the one in Windemere is the closest one. They were great. Here is the link if anyone should ever need thier services. Maybe it would be good to be a sticky
