I'm wondering if anyone on here has stayed in Formosa Gardens Estates... We've rented a home there in June (St. Georges Manor). They say it's 15 minutes from the parks... looking for anyone that might have experience with the drive.

Thanks!

Haven't stayed there but visited with friends there and have stayed in Windsor Hills, Emerald Island and Indian Creek which surround Formosa Gardens Estates.
The drive to Animal Kingdom will only take you about 5 minutes if you use Sherberth Rd. I would plan on at least 30 minutes to get through the turn stiles at Magic Kingdom. (To the parking lot for MK it's about 12 min. then you get on the tram to the Ticket and Transportation Center, then get on the monorail or ferry to MK, get your bags checked and then through the turn stiles.)
DHS is probably about 12 min. and Epcot 15min.
Here is a map, Formosa Gardens Estates is #9, the pink markers are Disney and if you take the blue line east and then the red line north you'll get to AK and the rest of the Disney parks. (You can also follow 192 east to World Dr.)

Be careful about booking this property. The owner, Robert George insists on payment by personal check and will not refund deposits. He breached his contract with us by refusing to refund funds even after all terms and conditions had been met. Threatened us with a lawsuit for defamation of character should we post any negative reviews of his property.

Pass this one by if you want to have a pleasant vacation experience.

Hi, We stayed in a large 7 bedroom house in Formosa Gardens about 5 years ago and really liked it for the location. It was right behind that China park that eventually closed. They had a nice little strip mall at the entrance that had a grocery store, shops and a really good italian restaurant. Can't remember the name. It was only about 10mins to Disney property and was a decent commute. All the homes seemed to be well taken care of. Would stay in that area again but can't bring myself to stay off site!;)
