Does anyone have the web site for Tuxes you can rent onboard.

My dilemma (sp?) is that my 2 DS and Dh want to wear tuxes on formal night and Hubby probably to Palo, but they all are very specific about what they want the tuxes to look like. DS11 MUST have a vest and a tie, DS8 will take anything just does not want to look like his brother, Dh is hard to fit and would like only certain colors. The obvious thing to do would be rent them from home and bring them, but with tuxes and suits for three and all my dresses, this is alot to carry across the country.

Anyone else had this problem? What was your solution?

Thanks for your input.

try looking at cruiseline formal.com.
I don't know how much of a variety they have, but they seem to have some sort of contract with the cruiseline so that you only have to order it and it will be in your stateroom when you arrive....

Hay, that is so cool! I would LOVE to see my guys in tuxes, but don't want to carry them in the luggage. Do we need to be measured here at home? Thanks for the idea.:D

We just returned from the 1/24 eastern and both DH and DS-10 wore tuxes which we rented from cruiseline.com. They requested that DS receive a courtesy measure at a local tux shop since kids are harder to fit and cruisline.com does not have replacement pieces for kids onboard. (they do have a few for adults). The basic package comes with the tux and two shirts. Shoe rental is extra and you can rent vests, etc. in a variety of colors. It was very easy - the tuxes were delivered to our stateroom on Sat. and our steward took them on Friday night. Just make sure they try it on right away. My DH's pants were too short but I didn't find that out until formal night! (He did try it on and thought they looked fine:rolleyes:

Does anyone have a ballpark cost and know whether tuxes are required for the guys? 1st time cruiser - clueless

Thanks!
Laurie:crazy:

Tuxes are not required. Most guys wear dark suits. I think the cost to rent a tux is around $80 for the week.

The correct URL is http://www.cruiselineformal.com/

The Disney Cruise Line formal order form shows prices and options.

A tuxedo is not required. In fact, not even a dark suit is required. But any man wanting to adhere to the suggestion of formal attire will wear a tuxedo, a dark suit, or some other traditionally formal men's attire (formal kilt, formal uniform, or formal whatever).

There are also men wearing light suits or dress slacks with blazers. Some don't even wear a jacket. Some don't bother with a tie. And a few make no effort at all.

Although a black blazer is not formal attire in the strict sense, it can be worn with a shirt, tie, and dress slacks if someone does not have (or does not want to pack) a dark suit or tuxedo. And it can be worn over a polo shirt in Palo. And it's handy whenever the air conditioning is set too cold!
