Opps! I never made a formal introduction! :guilty:

I am so sorry. My name is Christopher, but please call me Chris. I am a College Student (Elementary Education Major) living in Daytona Beach, Florida. I am currently 19 and been to Disney on more than once and love it each time I attend. However, this July will be my first time staying in a resort! It will also be my first time going to Animal Kingdom - so I am super excited. I am so excited and I love posting and reading the discussions on this forum!

I look forward to finding useful information and making some really neat friends who share the same intrest as I - Disney Fans! :) :cheer2:

I already paid for the Tickets and the Resort with my Debit Card. I am going to use my Credit Card to pay for all the food and other gifts I plan to buy while I am there. Some call me crazy but I call it having a good time. Besides my Credit Card bill will only be 10 dollars a month! :teeth:

:thumbsup2

:welcome:

Here's a tip for you to think about. If you are staying at a Disney Resort you can give the front desk your credit card number when you check in. This number gets attached to your room key. When you go anywhere in Disney you can use your room key as your credit card. Dining, souvies, even most of the little ice cream vendors :mickeybar will all accept your room key card. That way you aren't taking your credit card into the parks with you. I believe for AKL the limit is $1,500.00 (you can always raise that though if you are hitting your limit).

Have a great time in July!! :goofy:

Thanks. I ordered my tickets seperatly - will I still be able to get my credit card on my Room Key? Just Wondering. :confused3 Also, I dont plan to spend nearly that much lol. Thanks for the advice. :rolleyes1

Yes, you still put your credit card on your room key. We didn't do that on our first trip and regreted it. Have done it each trip since, it really works well. When you check in they should ask you if that's what you want to do.

You don't think you'll spend that much. Just kidding, at least you know there is a limit that you can't exceed without filling out some new paper work.

I also just reread your original post and I think I misunderstood. You were talking about staying at a resort for the first time....I thought you were staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge but I think you meant it will be your first time going to AK park. That does make a difference. The limits for spending are different for different resorts. They are as follows....value resort $500.00, moderate resort $1,000 and deluxe resort $1,500.00

Sorry for any confusion. :sad2:

:welcome:

You will definately find a wealth of information here and even better, people who share your addiction!

Welcome aboard! Once you stay onsite, you'll never be able to go back to offsite.

Welcome Christopher! My son is 19 and loves WDW too. In fact he and I have started taking annual trips... until he has his own family to take and enjoy it with. We have a great time! Can't wait until our August trip this year :cool1:
