Don't get me started with this!
I work in a place where the schedule for the week gets posted two days in advance but not only that, the manager changes the hours and days at her own convenience and does not even call anyone to let them know of the changes.
My hours and days have been the same for years, all of a sudden they change and then she tells me that I should have looked at the schedule, I DID before she changed it, and I proved it to her because she used pen and she couldn't erase it, LOL.
Once I went in to work at my regular time and her husband told me that I had to go back home because I was not supposed to be there until 7 am , I said I'm not going home, nobody told me about the change, he threatened that I would not get paid for the time and I said , ok we will see about that. I stayed and I got paid! The area supervisor told her to keep me on my regular hours as it had been for years.
I do have to say , my manager and her husband are total idiots , her husband has been kicked out of every job he has ever had because nobody can put up with him, trust me when I say that one day someone is going to jump over the counter and beat him up , and I'm not going to break them up either, just the other day he announced to a customer who was mad about his credit card being declined that
it wasn't his fault if there was not enough money in his account , I thought the guy was going to kill him, and this is only one of the so many examples I can give.
Oh yeah, and going back to the original post, I had one co-worker just this weekend call at 5:30 am to say that she did not have a babysitter for her 14 yr old son and she didn't find out until 5 minutes before she called. I guess she didn't have one yesterday either because she never showed but she won't need one anymore because she no longer works with us!
