We are going to WDW next week. Orlando forecast calls for rain Friday and saturday. Any suggestions on what we can do with our 3yo son?

We usually go in the summertime when it rains almost everyday. You can still go into the parks--just bring raingear.

Usually FLA rain doesn't last all day.

Definitely go! The parks are generally less crowded when it rains so that can make life a lot easier in the long run.

Also, I agree with the PP. The rain is usually showers that do not last all day long. We got back on 2/10 and the day we planned to go 2/3 the forecast was 50 % chance of showers and overcast all day. Well, I was psyched and the crowds were non-existant. We literally waited for one ride (Magic Carpets) for one cycle of the ride. Boats were going out empty on Splash Mountain! By 11:00 the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. It never did rain, although it was foggy in the morning. I don't trust forecasts that far out anyway.

Also, buy the bright blue ponchos from Walgreens so you won't be lost in a sea of Walt Disney World yellow ponchos.

Have fun!

I agree 100% go to the parks anyway! The rain won't last all day and the crowds will be low. Just pack plenty of rain gear. I suggest disposable ones for the adults (2/$1 at the dollar tree) and maybe buy a kids one for DS and bring it in a ziploc bag. His will be much smaller to deal with and it's hard to find childrens disposable ones. But I"d had to lug around full size wet ponchos. The dollar tree ones are cheap and small, so you can just toss them. Just bring 2 or 3 for each of you into the parks with you incase it does rain and stop and then rain again.

Go to the parks!! When it rains a lot of people stay at the hotels or go to DQ. Just bring your inexpensive other than Yellow ponchos and see how short the lines are. Oh bring your baseball cap also. I hate the poncho hoods. :rotfl: Wear your sandals as the sneakers get wet to fast. Splash in the puddles! Remember when you were a kid and wanted to go out and play in the rain. Well now is your chance. And what an excuse. I had to I was at Disney :rotfl:
Have a great time.

WE have had some great days in the park in the rain. Buy the little guy a cute rain coat and a pair of rubber boots and go for it. We like rain coats for an all day rain but take the the cheap $ store ponchos fo pop up showers.
