Forced to pay rack rate?

With Disney coming out with all these package rates, will we see code & passholder discounts anymore? We're DVC members, and will stay at a resort prior to going to our Vacation Club resort. Will we be forced to pay rack rate if we want to stay on Disney property? I'm currently looking for January, either at the YC, BWI, or AKL. I'd really like to pay under $200 before taxes, and the only way that's possible right now is a $199 standard room at AKL.

What do you think Disney has in store?

Have you tried a AAA/CAA rate. I just got 20% off per night for my stay next week. The FTP package did not work with my budget because of payment due dates and I waited and waited for a room only dicount that NEVER came.

If I were you, I might reserve something now to ensure availability and watch and be prepared to change when Disney unveils their promotions for your dates. Hopefully, patience will pay off for you.

The only people who really know are the cm's who work in the marketing department. Who knows if they have even made a final decision. Anything else is a total guess.

Are you a AAA or DC member? I saved 20% on my CBR reservation for Oct 1 to 6. Better than nothing! I really wanted to stay at BWI or BWV, but I gave up on the AP game. Even if they come out, I'm sticking with CBR, I'll spend the difference elsewhere.

No AAA or DC (expired last year). I can't decide whether to wait or just book now. If I booked now, I'm not even sure what I'd choose. In the end, I just might give in and book the YC or BWI at $289.

All this talk about lack of discounts for AP holders and CRO disappearing makes me very glad about my DVC purchase!!!
