Forbidden Journey with arm in cast?

My son may be in a cast when we go to Universal/Disney. It is a short arm cast. Will he be able to do Forbidden Journey and the other thrill rides?

We went to disney and universal years ago when my son had his arm in cast. We rode dueling dragons with no problem and then went back on. They stopped us and told us he could not ride. I told them we just rode and didn't have a problem. Another person came over and said that he had to sit so his cast was on the outside (so as not to hit anyone with it). We also rode every other ride with no problem. I would say you wouldn't have a problem as long as you sit him on the outside.

Thank you so much for your response. We are hoping it will be off by then, but it may be cutting it close. He is already upset because he is a swimmer and had a qualifier meet this weekend for Junior Olympics. If he couldn't ride his favorite rides I know he would rather postpone, but that would have to be next summer. He may get lucky and get it off in two weeks. It was one of those things that they couldn't be sure if there was a break or not.

FJ has a sign that says "No arm or leg casts." I know many rides let you on depending on the size or location of the case but, unfortunately, FJ does not allow you to ride with any cast.

Oh no, I guess we can hope it comes off before our trip. It should, but it will be cutting it close. If they don't let casts on it may not be a good idea to go when it just comes off because I don't want it re-injured. Do you know if they are allowed on Spiderman?

Just FYI, the sign also says no recent surgeries. If your son's arm was like mine when my soft cast came off after only a week, it will look really strange and obvious it was in a cast. It is also going to be very, very much weaker without the cast than with.

Hopefully he will get it off much sooner. Possibly Friday because the doctor wants to x-ray it again and see if there was a break. They will know for sure if it is showing signs of healing. Even if it goes back on it may be off in only two weeks. I'm going to talk with the doctor extensively about what he can and can't do, because he is also a swims and trains 2 to 4 hours a day.

Warning sign says no casts but the lady sitting next to me on FJ had a cast on her arm (bright pink wrist cast).

I guess the TMs were too busy telling us to move that they didn't notice...

FJ is really a wild ride I can understand why they say no casts. They also list that prosthetics must be removed.

I'm now in the same situation. My son just fractured his wrist and will have a cast. We are heading to universal on wednesday :( Does anyone know if there is a listing anywhere of what rides have those 'no casts allowed' signs? I've been searching the webstie. Wondering if we should postpone our trip, he's 9, and its all about the rides with him.

Here is a link:

You can copy and paste it in your browser. My son was lucky that a Sports Medicine doctor from his swim team looked at his X-Ray and decided the fracture was not bad enough to stay in a cast, took it off and told him to keep it in a splint for a week and now he is OK! If we hadn't taken him to the ER he said we would have never known it was broken, it would have just hurt him for awhile.

In my research I think they can ride most rides with a cast at Disney if you're going there as well.

Thank you so much for this guide! This is exactly what I wanted to see. You know I called guest services for Universal and they couldn't even tell me a guide like this existed. Thanks again.
