does forbidden journey break down frequently? i'm assuming it's no where near as often as gringotts?

No, Forbidden Journey is very reliable. There are way fewer effects that come into play.

We've been twice including August and last week. We only experienced 1 breakdown that lasted about 10 mins and that was in August. I guess we have been lucky as reading the boards seems to convey breakdowns are still happening a lot.

We were there for 5 days at the end of September. We encountered 1 breakdown. However, all of the special effects are not working. So perhaps as they are trying to get them to work, it causes more breakdowns.

No, only if you were on the ride when it broke down.

We've been here since Friday and haven't ridden it yet. Waited once in line and it broke down twice during that wait and we ended up leaving the line. Three other times we've been in DA and it has been down. Including for well over an hour yesterday. Hoping we have better luck tomorrow at Early Entry. I'm talking about Gringotts, FYI. Fp hasn't been down at all when we've been around. And we rode it three times, with waits listed as 30 minutes...went quicker as we used child swap.
