Did you wear makeup???? We normally take our trips in November or December, but the free dining got us this year. We will be in the parks the last full week of September (23-30). I always wear makeup to the parks in November and December, but with the heat and humidity of September I am just wondering if makeup will be pointless. On your trips in September did you wear makeup? Did it do any good or did it just sweat off right away? It sure will save time getting ready in the morning to not even bother putting it on. I have just never done that before.

I have been lat Aug early Sept and I always start out with light makeup and then after a day or so I stop putting it on in the morning and maybe carry a little with me as well as a brush so that I can look decent for our TS ADRs..lol

I always put a little makeup on. My mom taught me to never leave the house without it! So, I start with it on, but I can't say it looks great at the end of the day.

I actually do in September. I use creme to powder foundation and that seems to stay on longer. I can't really say that it is hot compared with July. It is just really humid.

Yes I wear a longlasting type of foundation with SPF15 cover, and waterproof mascara, eye-liner and shadow. I take my eye-liner and lip gloss to the park with me to touch up. I dont bother with the foundation, it usually lasts, and I take a blemish stick in case of spots or patches. princess:

I always put on some sunblock and light foundation, waterproof mascara, blush, eyeliner and some lip gloss- unless I'm going to the gym I always have something on.

I put makeup on in the moring but after being outside for about an hour it all seems to just melt away!! Especially going on water rides...Splash Moutain, River Rapids ect.

I live in the South, and in the summers I just wear lipstick. Everything melts away by noon, but mama always said to never go out without lipstick so it's ingrained in me. One trick I have done is to go without sunscreen for a day to get a little (not a lot mind you) color on my cheeks. It looks way more natural than blush and doesn't come off ;)

I live in Fl and I can tell you that your makeup will melt right off your face during the day even in the spring. Having said that I still like to wear it myself. You just need to change your routine and products accordingly. The first thing to consider is that you will need to slather on sunscreen throughout the day. This of course is more important than the makeup. My best suggestion is to use a tinted moisturizer with spf in lieu of foundation. That way you can touch it up throughout the day. ;) Powder seems pointless unless you are going to reapply it every thirty minutes. Go for a dewy look instead with cream blush or bronzer on the cheeks. I also bring a compact with some eyeshadow, mascara, and gloss for meal time touch ups. Lipstick is too heavy down here for this time of year.

Even that is probably too high maintenance for some folks. You can always just go for some tinted moisturizer and some lip gloss. Just remember that less is more. Dark cakey colors will look even worse melting down your face in the heat.

One trick I used for my wedding and honeymoon is to buy these oil absorbing powder sheets. They are in a packet about the size of 2 matchbooks and very thin. You rip out a sheet and blot the sweat off your nose, forehead etc. They have tinted face powder in them. You throw them out after you use one. They are great and you can keep it in your pocket. I used these before a picture so I wasn't shiny. Other than that I just use waterproof mascara and tinted lip balm in the heat.

I don't know who makes these but you can get them in any drug store with the makeup.

I just use a moisterizer w/sunscreen in it. Mine's from Mary Kay. I may put on foundation if we plan a nice dinner like CG but that's it for me. Though I do use a lip moisterizer also, not lipstick.

Another Floridian voting for tinted moisturizer with SPF. It's perfect! I just do a little lip gloss, mascara and fill in my eyebrows a bit. (I'm blond and my brows and lashes are invisible without a little help.) Other than that, at WDW, I just go.

I would go as minimal as possible, unless you've got some really fancy dinner planned that you're going back to the room to shower and change for. FL heat is murder on make-up and at WDW, you're outside, running around, etc. It'll save you 5 minutes in the morning and you'll look fine! Enjoy!

Nope, no makeup here, at least during the day. September is our anniversary, so we always go during that time.

I see makeup as a chore, and vacation means no chores (although I do use a touch of mascara for the evenings)!

I use the 8 hour lipstick - it lasts and looks better on me in pictures to have lipstick than not -

I also use Bare Minerals - the powder w/ an spf of 15 I do admit when I get a llittle... perspiry ( :rotfl: ) I will use a pressed powder I keep in my purse/bag... for picture purposes!! I really like the Bare Minerals eye shadow - you can experiment with it at Ulta Stores, Sephora stores, or look online at QVC, and Sephora!! (there are a lot of BE users here at the Dis, do a search for more info!)

It's all about mineral makeup :thumbsup2 It doesn't melt off, and contains sunscreen too. And my normal mascara will be perfect- http://www.blincinc.com/about_kiss_me.htm It will only come off with the combination of being soaking wet and lots of pressure (i.e., in the shower with your hands). It's lasted me through swims, sweats, and crying my face off.

This sounds perfect!!! :thumbsup2 Does anyone have a brand name or store for these?

OK, that is two Floridians that suggest this. My moisturizer does have SPF but no tint so I will need to change up for this. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I definitely don't want to go completely bare. I want some color. This tinted moisturizer with a light touch of blush and colored lip gloss sounds good. The wipes with tinted face powder seems perfect too.

I wear makeup when we go in Aug. My foundation tends not to last too well, but my eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara stays looking pretty good. We go back to the resort in the afternoon to shower and get ready for dinner, so I reapply then.

I have an Ulta right down the road from my house. I will have to look into this. I know that I have heard that Bare Minerals is great. Honestly, I don't really know anything about it.
