?? for windows vista and DING, help please

I just got a new computer which has windows vista. I am having problems downloading SW DING. The computer deleted it the first time and now won't acknowledge it (I feel like I'm dealing with "Dave" in 2001,lol) I'm sure one of you out there has tamed this beast before and knows how to make Vista behave. Please help. Thanks!

I don't know how to help but I will say I hate windows vista. XP is much better. Many programs have difficulty with vista I find.In fact my sister just returned her computer because she hated vista it wouldn't even acknowledge her digital camera. Good luck hope someone can help.

I know, I wasn't wild about having Vista either, but you don't really have much of a choice with new computers unless you have it built from the the "ground up". I prefer XP and never had a problem running any programs. I just want my Dings back, as poor has they have been lately from my neck of the woods, I am still the eternal optomist that today will be the day for that not to be missed ding! Hope maybe someone who is computer "savy" knows the answer and can help me.
