For which ride should we get our first FastPass?

If Disneyland is crowded, where should we start our day? It sounds like Splash Mountain may be the place. But what about the other mountains? How busy do the rides in Fantasyland get?

Just trying to get a rough idea so I can start mentally preparing DH. ;)

We usually steer clear of Fantasyland in the morning as we don't have any kids. But when we went with our nephew/niece, it was VERY busy (and it was the off-season). If you go there first, I would suggest going straight to Dumbo, then Peter Pan.

What we like to do first thing on busy days is walk through Adventureland and pick up a FP to Indiana Jones. Then we continue straight and head to Splash Mountain. Depending on what time your FP is for, you could also hit Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion and Pirates before returning to Indiana Jones to use your fast pass. Then eat some breakfast!!

When its busy, I like to make use of one area of the park. Get some of your "must do" rides over in the a.m. (you can always re-ride them later) using fast pass. I like our above method because there are so many big rides in that area (Adventureland/New Orleans Square/Critter Country)

Get there first thing in the morning, and head straight for Splash through Adventureland. Pick up a fastpass for Indiana Jones on the way. If you get to Splash quickly, you can just walk on a couple times in a row without much of a wait. It's in a back corner of the park, so a lot of people don't get out there till later.

If you do want to get a fastpass for Splash, get it early because they will most likely run out by early afternoon.

The other "mountains" don't generally run out of fast passes, so the waits aren't that bad. Matterhorn doesn't have a fastpass option, so you might want to ride that early.

Doh!!! I completely left Indy out of my question and it's a must-do at least twice. Luckily, we're going for at least 2 days.

I was thinking that we could concentrate on the big e-ticket attractions the first day and then hit Fantasyland early on the second. We could grab FastPasses for Indy first thing on both days.

DH only wants to go to DL with us on one day and I bet that he'll want to see Fantasyland. Thanks for the suggestions!
