For those wondering about Lauderdale disembarking & airport times……..

We just got off the Dream Thursday & it was so easy. We had a 10:00 flight & were a little nervous. We did express walk off. We disembarked at 7:32, found a taxi very easily(there were many lined up) & we were at the airport @ 8:06. They had outside luggage check-in which was great, & were in our seats waiting for the flight at 8:30.
Very, very easy & quick. We had heard that Disney suggested no flights before 11:00, but we certainly had no problems, & would do it again.

Yes, when everything goes as planned it's pretty quick and easy to get from Port Everglades to FLL.

I think the DCL recommendations assume people won't be doing express walk off, which is why their recommendation seems so 'generous'/'late'.

Thank you for the update, I feel less nervous now about our 10:30 flight. Happy to hear it was easy to get a taxi. We'll plan to do express walk off and take a taxi to FLL.

Most definitely! We had a 1:00 flight and took our time getting off the ship not leaving until the last call at 9:15ish taking DCL transfers and I believe we were at the airport at 10ish.

Disney Cruise recommends flights leaving Fort Lauderdale at 11 am or later (https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/ground-transportation/) so a flight at 12 noon should be fine, barring very unusual circumstances. A storm that delays the ship's arrival back to Fort Lauderdale would probably affect flights out anyhow.

According to Google Maps, PBI appears to be about an hour away from Port Everglades. I would pad that in case there's traffic.
