For those with a Snow Day whatcha doin'

DH is off today due to the snow, and we have it like most of you. Not to much can be done about it. It is very cold here this morning, looks like we are just staying home today and dh will be digging us out. Thank Goodness he has a snowblower...

I am so ready for Spring, when I can get out, I am going to buy some fresh flowers and a nice plant. They are looking at another storm on Monday......

My plans for this snow day are:

Take a nice hot shower and put on some comfy clothes
Bake a cake
Get the done.
Play on the DIS
And work in the office...

DH and my oldest are outside digging out. We have what I would guess is at least 18 inches of snow.

Everyone is home *dh should be at work but he can't get out of the driveway. I don't know if he is going to try to go in after they shovel out- but I doubt it.

All the kids(4 of them) are home from school.

I already did 2 loads of laundry with 2 more to follow
We will make some more valentines.
Watch movies
Snuggle
bake
eat baked items
nap
probably play video games too(that is if dh stays home we are liking Warhawk lately and it's just more fun with him)

I'm gonna try and get back to normal. Our power has miraculously held through two blizzards. Man came to plow our driveway this morning. Still no place really to go. Roads are still a bit treacherous.

It was an awesome sight. Storms of the century indeed.

Snow day in North Texas for my DD16. Not for me though...I have to go to work...blech.

They are off school tomorrow for a teacher work day too so she gets an extra long weekend!

We are on our 4th snowday in a row here. Thankfully my DH was able to snowblow our cars out and take DD1 (5 yrs) to MIL's house. So as long as I can get DD2 (12 weeks) to sleep, I hope to:

1) Finish laundry
2) De-fur the house
3) Clean the kitchen
4) Clean DD bedrooms
5) Make ADRs for our April trip, which was supposed to be a February trip that started TODAY!
6) Sit on my butt with a glass of wine and the new US Weekly.

I am the only one home today.
So i am watching some movies, Time Travelers Wife is on now. And probably just going to relax all day. I can't go anywhere because my car is stuck in snow.

Got ambitious and saddled up the pony......didn't last long, but I can now say I've ridden in the snow!!

We got over 3 feet of snow and I'm sick of shoveling! DH and I have been at it for days and it's ridiculous. My kids are helping but the stinking snow is so heavy. Soooo, we are inside drinking homemade hot chocolate, watching Princess Diaries 2 and doing laundry. We also made snow cream for the 1st time and it was goooood!

DH is shoveling for 12th time ~ neighbor plowed our driveway of 30" of snow, but DH is doing the final touches . The first 24" were very wet and heavy, but the last 5" were dry and fluffy. The sun has been out and it finally starting to melt! Yesterday we had cabin fever so took a fun adventurous ride in our Jeep!

Today I've been cleaning house, gathering papers for taxes, and getting our of state grands Valentine pkgs out. This is the first day our mailman has delivered this week, so went to P.O. to mail them priority, can only hope they'll get them in time.

I live in DC and this is the fourth day my work has been closed and I have not been able to leave the neighborhood. Our street has not seen a plow at all in the last week while other streets around us are clear. The neighbors paid a group of guys to shovel a path in the middle of the street but we have not tried to get out yet. Neighbors have called numerous times about this but all they can say is be patient.

I have been shoveling, playing with the Internet, watching TV and working on tagging all my pictures in Windows Picture Gallery.

Just got a text from my boss that we are closed tomorrow again!

This is crazy, I hate snow, that's why I live in Texas!!
