the pandemic , would you say it was worth it? What pre-pandemic perks of staying on site haven't returned yet? What perks are included now? I didn't mean to write in bold. I was pressing some buttons earlier that messed it up.

Everything seemed about the same to me. I guess housekeeping might be less, but we have never been one to get our sheets changed every day. We were in the parks and staying at DLH 2 days before they shut down.

It was wonderful on our last trip to GCH this April, but at DLH in 2022 the Mousekeeping wasn't as good and our room was dusty.
The main difference seems to be less time for EE.

It was still worth it for us to stay there, for sure.

At some point the 30 minute EE is going to be a factor for Disney to consider as they watch the occupancy rates of their relatively high priced hotels decline as the “revenge travel” slows and the economy trends towards a slowdown/recession. Exhibit A is the new summer ticket deal. Exhibit B is the marked decline in demand at WDW and the subsequent change in the date based ticket reservation requirements.

Worth it is a relative term. We love staying on site (GCH) due to proximity and being “in the bubble.” We know the price point is insane, but it’s a splurge we take using discounts. What works for us others find a rip off. I get both sides. That was true pre and post pandemic.

Right after the pandemic the benefits of onsite was very little. It’s definitely better now, but still not the same as pre. Housekeeping has definitely improved. The 30 minutes I still roll my eyes at. For crying out loud extended it back to 1 hour. But yet, we still stay so obvious I am not that irritated.

If you stayed before and were ok with it I think you would be content now.

As others have posted, the biggest perk that is not the same post pandemic is the reduced time for early entry. We stayed at VGC March 2022, DLH July 2023, and VGC April 2024 so it is safe to say that we still find it worth while even with the reduction!

I think the main perk I miss is package delivery. I haven't stayed onsite at DL since the pandemic, but I've been to WDW and it hasn't been reinstate there.

So, when we stayed at DLH July 2023 they offered the package delivery but oddly enough they did not when we were at the Grand April 2024.

I am glad housekeeping is fully back! Also we have had turn down service the last few times at the GCH, most recently last weekend. Chocolates on the bed included!

I did notice that the lotion had changed to a different brand (I guess they finally ran out of the H2O lotion).

I miss the pin trading event with CMs at the GCH since COVID. Our girls LOVED to do this, and they got to know several of the CMs very well stay after stay. It was super fun, but I am sure they were itching to get rid of it since some of the “pro” pin collectors always seemed to diminish the experience for the kids by barging through and trying to get all the best trades. You could tell it bothered the CMs when this happened also.

I agree. The new 30 minute EE really devalues staying onsite IMO.

Nice! Was turn down service for Club Level or everyone?

What is the difference between package delivery and grocery delivery?

Is it that with package delivery they will store it for you until you return to your hotel?

Package delivery = Buying something at a store *in the parks* and having it delivered to your on-property room so you don't have to carry it around.
