For Those Whose DDs got Amer Girl dolls

My youngest got Marisol and Elizabeth and some clothes to go with each. She was thrilled. We do like the quality and the look of the dolls.

disneyPhD--try looking on ebay in a couple of months. We had been looking at Leapster games last year for Christmas on ebay and they were going for crazy $ but by the time DSs bday rolled around in March you could get them on ebay for quite a bit less than retail.

I am glad so many of you share my enthusiasm! I want an AG doll of my own now. Have any of you been to the AG garage sale in the summer? A friend of mine goes every year and now I see why! I know you have to get entrance tickets and they are limited but I don't know any more than that.

My American Girls are my prized posessions. AG items still top my wishlist as the number one thing I hope for. I've been collecting for 15 year and have now 8 dolls including Elizabeth who joined my doll family on my 24th birthday in October.

One of my Hanukkah gifts from Mom this year was the sightseeing outfit with the suitcase. Both are just darling!

I hope that one day I get to go to American Girl Place- for me, it would be absolute heaven!

I hope those of you who bought your daughters AGs are making an effort to introduce them to the books as well. They are the heart of the collection!

My DD got her first AG doll yesterday - I got her the American Girl Today doll that looked like her and coconut along with the matching coconut PJ's and matching coconut clothes - She LOVES it!! It was so cute when she got ready for bed last night and changed her and her doll ( no name yet - LOL) into the matching PJ's - I think the next one she gets will be a historical - LOL Not sure which one though - she loved the Felicity movie so maybe that one.

I was nervous about getting her AG but I am very happy that I did!!

I agree the books are wonderful. That is actually what got DD into Amer Girl in the first place. She read all of the books she could lay her hands on and although they were really at her reading level a couple of years ago, she still enjoys them.

The doll clothes you buy at DW will fit the American Girl Dolls too. I bought a Minnie outfit for my Molly Doll. The only place I saw these outfits was at the gift shop at the Grand Floridian but I'm sure you can find them at the Disney store at DTD.

The store is AWESOME!! We have been stopping there each year for the past five Christmas shopping trips to Chicago!! It is not alot of fun to be in there when it is so packed full of people like it usually is when we go....but the store is amazing! If you ever do get the chance to go HAVE FUN!!

I got my Granddaughter Bitty Baby this year for Christmas! I wasn't paying attention when my son was handing her gifts to open, and he gave her that box 2nd to open ~ and she was done opening gifts as soon as she opened her *baby*!!

Both my nieces (one is 7, the other is 5) have Bitty Babies and they both still play with them alot! Now all three girls will be able to get together with Bitty's and spend hours with them!!

I'm glad I'm not the only adult girl obsessed with AG! I actually received Samantha for Christmas even though I asked for her over 12 years ago for Christmas, so it was quite exciting. I also love to go to the store in Chicago. It's just so amazing to actually see it all in person and then see the little girls eating brunch with their dolls. I could stay in that store for hours. I hope someday I have a little girl that I can buy AGs for and take her to the store.

My DD got Marisol for Christmas and is having a blast with it. She is 6. I would be interested in information on the Garage Sale, I have heard some about it, but not too much. If anyone knows more, please let me know. I would bet it is worth going.
