For those who work and have a chronic illness...

Did you give your boss info on it or explain it to him/her? I just sent my boss a link that gives a good basic explanation of what I have (Undifferentiated Connective TIssue Disease.)

I don't have the chronic disease, but my 5 year old DD does and I supplied my boss with information on her disease. I need to take a lot of time of work occasionally to take care of her and he is so great about it.

I think it is a great idea and most are very interested to know about it, especially if it is very rare.

I have a chronic disease and my boss is well aware of it. I do drag in with it though, and have been virtually symptom free for about a year now, but I gave my boss literature on it and a website.

My boss knows I have fibromyalgia, but it hasn't affected my work any. His mom has it too, so he asks me questions about it now and then. I have learned to live with it and not let it get me down.

he was very understanding about it and said whatever happens "we'll handle it".
