For those who used Rev. Jack Day...

how long did you have to decide which ceremony you wanted to use?

I just received my Jack-pack and want to respond asap that we would like him to be our officiant. We just want to take our time and really look over the different ceremonies. I am assuming I do not have to let him know now which ceremony we would like, but I just wanted to be sure.

It's been about a year since I was at that planning stage (wow does time fly!) but as I recall, you just have to fill out the form, sign it, and mail it back to him to secure your date. You don't have to pick your ceremony until a few weeks before the wedding. We put together a few different ceremonies and I just re-typed it and e-mailed it to him. It was perfect - Rev. Jack is a wonderful man - you will be happy you chose him

I am also using Rev Jack for my wedding that is being held at the end of this year. All we did was sign the form for now and he said that as long as he has our ceremony at least a week before the wedding, that is fine. If you want to use a compilation of ceremonies, he askes that you type it up on word and send it to him with your name, wedding date, and contact info at the top. I hope this helps!

I will be using him for my wedding in December and i was lucky enough to meet him at my planning session. He was such a lovely man! He told me to send through my ceremony details 3 weeks before the wedding date.

I wrote my ceremony with different things from Jack's pack & things I found online. He will do anything you don't have to use what's in the pack.

We pretty much just left him wing it. I told him which one of the vow renewal services I liked and told him to fill in anything that was needed. We did add the family unity candle and my father-in-law sang one of the songs that he had sung at our original wedding.

i did cross out some stuff in there though -- which he is totally fine with!!!

You will LOVE him. At our wedding rehearsal, he was going back and forth with my loud (and wonderful aunt) and he even made our entire audience laugh during a particularly serious moment of the wedding vows... we took out some pretty specific language and added some special stuff. Rev. Jack worked with whatever we wanted. CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!!
