For those who scrapbook - what size album?

Well, I was just looking on Ebay and it seems you can find some really cute ones on there for a bit cheaper! Even the shadowbox one!

What search term do you search for on ebay to look for this?

I put in Disney Scrapbook and it had about 12 pages of books, papers, just tons of Disney scrapping stuff!

Where in disney can u get them?

Downtown Disney has a whole store of just scrapbooking stuff. Several shops in the parks also have books/supplies. I distinctly remember the book store attatched to Sci-Fi Cafe had quite a bit of scrapping stuff.

I use 12 x 12 albums but I also made both of my kids 8 x 8 albums with their autographs/character photos. It was the perfect size for that purpose and came out very cute.

I swear I went to my Michael's and walked down all the scrapbooking aisles and never saw one album. I must be blind... I'll go back there and take a look.

At our local Michael's, the Disney albums were all on an endcap, rather than in an aisle itself.

I use 12 x 12's for my family albums. The photos that don't make the first cut go into the horizontal Pioneer 5 x 7 albums -- one for each child from each trip, if I can manage!

I liked the pale ocean blue 12 x 12 Disney album at Michael's with Mickey peeking through a porthole shape. (You can see his "aft section" coming out on the back cover!) The color of the album reminds me of the color scheme at the Disney Cruise Line terminal -- so the book would be perfect for scrapping a trip on the Disney Wonder or Magic!

I use all sizes, but I find the smaller sizes so much easier- although I wouldn't go as small as 6x6- or even 7X7

8x8 is perfect for a quick easy project. It will also fit on a book shelf without any problems. I had to get an extra deep bookshelf for my 12x12 scrapbooks to live on.

I personally do not like Creative Memories product line, but if you are new to scrapbooking they are a great introduction. Micheal's or AC Moore or Hobby Lobby are all stores that carry scrapbooking supplies. Check out ebay too, if for nothing else the ideas, search for "scrapbook paper piecing" or 'disney paper piecing"

Most papers are 12x12... do you just cut these to make smaller albums?

I'm thinking 12x12 is a little too big... even 10x10 would be great but I haven't seen any papers that size. Are they always square?

Does anyone know if the actual disney tinkerbell scrapbook album can be refilled with regular scrapbook pages? I found it on mousememories and emailed them and they said "yes if you can find the pages". I'm not sure what they meant if the pages are different then regular pages?

I meant for the specific album you were talking about.

Does anyone know if this album:

is a scrappbook?

Yes this is a 12x12 scrapbook with top loading pages. I bought this one in April at WDW. I just put in some refill pages from Michael's/ACMoore and they fit on the posts but the pages are slightly smaller than the ones that come with the book. I have found that the disney albums from WDW are slightly bigger than 12x12. One very cool thing about this book is that it has a slash pocket in the back which I found to be great for maps and other things we gathered along the way.

For our Disney albums, we always use 12x12. We seem to take so many pictures each trip, you would think we wouldn't have anything left to take pictures of.

I do 12 x 12 scrapbooks because I like to put several pictures on each page. I just went to my local ACMoore & they have several cute Disney albums--I bought the last one of the light blue with Mickey with big bubbles on the cover that I think will be perfect for scrapbooking our planned Disney Cruise. They have lots of disney stuff at ACMoore.
I got a very cool brown leather look book at the scrapbook store at DTD last Nov. If you are a scrapbooker, a stop here is a must!!!!
Happy page making yall. :rotfl:

I use 12 x 12. I usually have about 4 photo's per page, but do print them off smaller if I need to. I do all my own printing, as I find the photo labs do a bit of a poor job with cropping digital photos, plus they are so expensive.

Disney's Wonderful World of Memories in DTD is great. The kits are a bit pricey if you are buying a few, but I think they are excellent. The books I have had all are post ones, they unscrew and you can add pages. What I did this year was buy it all in this one spot and have it shipped home. Because I didn't have to pay sales tax, as it was being shipped out of state, I only really ended up paying an extra $5 to have it shipped home, rather than taking it with me in my suitcase. It arrived about a week after I got back. I bought a lot, so it was pretty heavy, just the scrapbook on it's own was a bit hefty. You can buy the scrapbooks and kits at every park somewhere (The Emporium at MK for example) and also at the resorts. There are some great stickers and punches there too. I personally love those Jolee destination stickers (Michaels have them) they are great for Epcot World Showcase, though I need to persuade them to do a Norway one. The DTD store actually had some in stock. Jolee's also have some great Disney stickers too, paper and fabric ones, that have a bit of dimension to them, they look great. And don't forget that at the DTD scrapbook store you can actually send a postcard with a special cancellation mark. I'm not sure exactly what it says, but it's the only place you can do this.

I have the shadowbox Mickey one, my boyfriend got it for me for Christmas. I think they have Princess and Pooh ones as well. He got it for me at a local scrapbook store. I have seen the kit one at Michaels. My local scrapbook store has lots of different Disney stuff, stickers and papers, etc. Michaels and AC Moore are also great for finding Disney stuff. We went to the scrapbook store at Downtown Disney last year, and I want to go back again this year. I don't know if when I went, they were just wiped out or what, because I was not overly blown away with their selection. I always scrapbook using a 12x12 book, more room for creating pages!
