When you get to the gate, do you check in with the person working there, or do you just line up when they call your seat numbers?

You don't need to check in with the gate person. You can wait until they start calling rows and then line up. It's a great time saver.

Personally, I believe in the CYA (cover your assets) method of living. As such, I always check at the gate, just to make sure.

We just check in our luggage (usually outside its faster) and then wait for our row. The first couple of times I checked in at the desk at the gate but was told there was no need to so haven't the last several times. I love the preprinted passes!
