We will be heading down to WDW from October 3-13 this year:cool1:. The weekend day's are the 6th & 7th. What day's would be your preference for this party? I am assuming NOT the weekend :confused3
TIA!!!

I will be there 10th -17th I am hoping they have the party on that Monday for us. Tried to follow the patten of the past yrs. but with Leap yr this yr everything is slightly different. I hope they release the dates soon I have to start to make dining ressies soon.

Honestly, from 2004-2011 we have been to many parties (multiples during the same week). This year we went to three, one Tues, Thurs and Sun. On this week the Sun was by far the least crowded. Tues the most crowded but very little different from Thurs. Over the years the parties have progressively gotten much more crowded.

I often try to figure out which will be the least crowded party and am often surprised so I think it truly is a guessing game. The best advice I think is to go earlier in the season as those HAVE been less crowded for us. Last year was the worst with no Toontown to spread out into, so to us everything felt ultra packed.

Another vote for Tuesday the 9th.

Not sure when exactly the party dates are out, however you can figure it out by looking at the general park hours - a 7:00 closing at MK means there's a MNSSHP that night. Not sure if October hours are out yet though.

Tuesday night, the 9th.

Yes. I'd say the 9th or Thursday the 11th.

There are not many parties on Monday nights.

Another vote for either the Tuesday or Thursday party. The weeknight parties have been less busy (in my experience), but I generally wait until closer to the party date to decide based on the weather. If my first choice date is looking like it'll be rainy, I'd opt to wait. If it's raining or been recently raining, the Headless Horseman does not ride and that one of my family's favorite parts of the parade.

Tuesday or Thursday. Mondays sometimes have a spillover from the weekend and the weekends are a little busier. We always go on Tuesday and Thursday and the crowds are fantastically low!

WOW! I knew I asked the right group of people! I had no idea about the headless horsman...where does he come out?

He goes the same route as the parade, but depending on where you are on the route, he may appear a few minutes ahead of it or as long as 15 minutes or so, since he goes a little faster.

Agree with PPs, one of the coolest parts of the night--hope for dry conditions.
