For those who have won RSG skyauction auctions?

How did your "travel documents" arrive? Mail, FedEx, Email attachment? Thanks.

for the RSG auctions, usually they send them via email attachment....unless the time is really close then they might fedex them ( in the beginning they used to fedex to us ).....the 15$ processing fee is essentially for them to provide an email with an attachment

we do not even think about that fee any more....we just know we start off at 210$ when we are bidding....

if you have won something other than an RCI gift exchange which most 7 day rentals are ......they might fedex them ( which then makes that 15$ fee more palpable )

What does the email give you? Do you have to present the piece of paper to the resort? I notice I have a "hotel confirmation #" listed in "my vacations" section. Will the resort be able to identify me by that and my ID? Skyauction has said they have sent travel documents but I have not received them.

it should come to you as an email attachment in the .TIFF format.....i then use a photo type program to bring it in and print it out..

used to have trouble printing the attachments out since the .tiff file is very BIG.....and it was printing out over 4 pages

once i found you could use a "photo type" program to bring in the file and cause it to fit to page i have been able to print out the document....

the actual download of your information to the resort does not take place until about a week or less before you arrive.....up until that point there is some indicator.....ours has been.....MHI which is used ....

this may vary with resorts but we have gotten that descriptor several times now

if you have not gotten your attachment, contact them ....they have a 1-800# that comes up in the "findweeks"

they told me i would get an email, if i cannot open the file will they overnite the stuff i wonder? or can you request that up front

well last time i tried to have them fedex the document since i could not open it .....they said they do not fed ex and never have which of course i knew was not true...( guess if it was close time frame they would fedex ...since i have seen that in some auctions which were closing close to the auction date )

but finally was able to open the .tiff in photosuite which then has an option in the print mode to "fit to page" which then printed out the document

it was very frustrating in the beginning trying to print out the .tiff since it generated 4 pages ......of BIG print.....nothing that could have been used

i printed mine off today not as an attachment but from the membership page, it printed fine

we have done that before too....

but with an auction for las vegas not a RSG..just went to a web page where we were able to print off our confirmations..

maybe they are changing the way they send out "confirmations now"
