For those who have used QSDP; what did you do for breakfasts?

Hi we are planning a trip for a family of 4 and we usually get the regular DP. I would like to try the QSDP and hopefully not be too tied down to ADRs all week.

What did you usually do for breakfast on the QSDP? I really want to use our CS credits for lunch and dinner, but the kids need something for breakfasts. Do you bring poptart/granola bar items for your room?

Thanks for all suggestions!:) Deb

We did bring a few things like granola bars and such but we also used snack credits at the resort food court bakery for muffins, bagels, beignets (we were at POFQ). Your refillable mug is included so you are covered for coffe. I would keep juice and milk in your hotel room for the kids. If you are staying moderate or higher then you will already have a fridge. If you are staying value then I believe it is $10 + tax per day for a fridge.

We've not done the QSDP (or, actually, *any* DDP yet), but I'd likely bring some type of breakfast bars. My favorite things for the kids are those Quaker Oatmeal Squares. They're small, but the kids like them and, surprisingly, they're *very* filling. I love a big breakfast, but I can eat a QOS and be satisfied for hours.

Each person will have 2 snack credits per day in addition to 2 cs meals.
You can use your snack credits for breakfast. Each credit can get you a bagel, fruit, cereal, muffin , juice, milk etc. Another option is to use some snack credits and 2-3 cs credits to share breakfast and the same for lunch, leaving you all 1 credit each for dinner. Finally, you can bring cereal, granola bars, dried fruit, oatmeal for your room and just buy milk and juice from the resort (or again, use snack credits for these.) It all depends what kind of breakfast you enjoy having.

We use our snack options for breakfast. The Main Street Bakery at MK is awesome. My DD8 and myself can actually split the sticky bun there. YUMMY. The bakery at the BWV is great too.

We used 2 meal credits & 2 snack credits at breakfast most days and it was plenty for our family of 4. We did some sharing at lunch & dinner too, but not every time. We paid OOP for 3 TS meals during our stay, so we ended up with plenty of CS & snack credits.

I had 1 TS credit, 1 QS credit, & 1 snack per person per day. I packed a suitcase full of capri sun juice boxes, pop tarts, granola bars, etc for eating in our room before. We then used our TS credit and QS credit for lunch and dinner. We then at the end ran into a problem... too much food where we couldn't eat the desert from our TS and QS meals so we just saved them and threw them in the backpack, then when we got hungry we snacked on Mickey rice crispy treats and chocolate chip cookies... by the last day we had 8 unused snack credits so we had cinnamon rolls and small OJs at the hotel for breakfast because cinnamon rolls are 1 snack credit and small OJ is also a snack credit.

Oh one more thing... the empty food suitcase was great for souvenirs on the way home.

We used our snack credits at the beginning. But then it was just too much food for me (July trip, too hot). So I started getting fruit for my dessert the night before, so we had fruit, bagel or pastry and had our refillable mug of coffee.

When we were there at WDW last year, we packed a box of gallon sized ziplocs. Stop by Main Street Bakery, or similar in the park of your day, before you head back for your afternoon break. Use a snack credit for a cinnamon roll or the like. These cinnamon rolls are about a million times better than the ones at the resorts. Once you get back to the room, package up your yummy. The next AM fill up your refillable mug and enjoy your yummy (you can even warm it up at your resorts food court or in your room) breakfast! Everyone will ask where you got it from with drool from their mouths!:thumbsup2

We bring in pop tarts and granola bars to have in the room, or we use a snack credit (since you get 2 per day). We also have a couple of extra CS meals per person as we usually book a couple of breakfast meals and pay oop. That way we have those extra CS credits to use on 2 other days.
