? for those who have used Avery transfers

Hi, I made shirts last year using Avery transfers from walmart. The shirts looked great but after the first washed started to look really old and now we only wear those shirts as nighties (honestly, I wouldnt be caught dead in those shirts, they look terrible!). The shirts are now cracked/faded/peeling....u name it!

This year I ordered Amy's transfers, the shirts look great! I have not worn or washed them yet, but from what I have heard they hold up really well so I'm not worried about those shirts getting ruined! We leave for Disney in 1 week and I'm affraid if I order more transfers from Amy I wont get them in time or if i do get them in time it will be the day b4 we leave.

My question is....for those of u who have used the Avery brand...are your shirts a mess after a few washes too? Time is ticking and I dont know if I should just go to walmart to get the Avery brand or should I order from Amy again and end up doing my shirts at the VERY last minute? Thanks

I have used both the Avery transfers and Amy's transfers. My question to you is did you use the light transfers or the dark transfers when you used the Avery transfers. I used the light transfers the for my first shirts that I made and the colors weren't as bright and they ran and faded after a few washes. When we went back we got the dark tranfers and used them for our shirts we wore our last day. Those looked the best. Colors were very bright and have held up very well through many washings. Actually, all the shirts have held up fine. My son and nephew still wear their shirts with both types of transfers on them and they still look ok. Just look a little faded. I bought Amy's transfers because they were cheaper than anywhere else and they were as good as the Avery transfers. You might have had your iron on too hot or ironed them on too long or left the iron in one spot for too long and that is why you were having the trouble you had. I don't think it was the transfers. I just bought more of Amy's transfers and the Avery transfers from Staples because I had a rewards card that made them FREE and needed to do a shirt before Amy's would come in the mail.
