For those who have ridden - ROTR compared to TOT?

How does the drop and movement at the very end of ROTR compare to Tower of Terror and/or Star Tours? With my youngest DS not being tall enough to ride, just wondering if I should bother getting a Rider Switch for my vertigo-prone mom or not. She's fine on coasters like SDMT and even Expedition Everest, but felt a little queasy after FoP (she loved it, though). She took one look at ToT and decided not to ride it, but I wonder if she might be OK on ROTR. TIA!

Everything I seen is it’s mild not nearly as much as ToT. Some have said if you can handle something like Pirates you should be fine.

The drop isn't bad at all, just enough to give you a little thrill. I refuse to ride ToT ever again and bury my head on Splash. The drop on RotR doesn't even compare. It's very quick.

It isn't a drop like ToT at all. Not even like the small drop on Pirates. It is a mild sensation. Akin to flopping down on a chair from a standing position

It's not a sliding drop, it's a straight down drop but just a few feet and very gentle. They also give you a visual heads up what is about to happen so it's also not a surprise drop at all. Just the right amount of fun really. I get motion sick after a few passes through Star Tours sometimes and ROTR does not affect me at all.

Thanks everyone for your input! I'll make sure to get rider switch then so mom can ride. My eldest will be thrilled if it means he gets to go again. I only wish the height restriction was 38 instead of 40 so my little one could enjoy the ride too. If the drop is really more gentle than Pirates I can't imagine why they made it so tall, maybe in case of an emergency stop? We took him on Pirates when he was a baby. Well, at least my mom will be able to enjoy it. She's not a huge Star Wars fan or anything but I think she'll like it.

IMO I don’t see how the drop on RotR and the “slight elevation change” I’ll call it, in pirates are being compared. Pirates gives you absolutely no sensation or feeling what so ever. The drop on Rise most certainly gives your stomach a quick jolt. It Dosent last , and far from nauseating, but indeed worth adding another element to the ride. Where as , again, in my opinion , no one gets off pirates and says “did you feel the drop”.
And more to your question , I get vertigo for anything. This ride is a non issue! I’ve ridden twice.

Rode RotR on Monday - I was nervous about the drop too but it's nothing like ToT. It's much shorter (lasts a few seconds) and you don't drop nearly as far a distance. The rest of the ride is worth it, and this is coming from a person whose stomach cannot handle ToT at all.

Unless I was paid a hefty sum to do it, I would never ride ToT again. The one time I rode, I held my breath, wishing the ride would end, and it seemed like it never did. Although, you know, it must've, since I'm not on it anymore!

RotR? I rode it for the first time this morning and we are going to get up at 4 a.m. again tomorrow to ride it once more before our trip's over. It's that good. And the drop was nothing much at all.
