Were you always satisfied with the change? Was it worth it? If I were staying for an entire week and didn't like my view that was assigned, I would pay the $25 if I could get an awesome location.

I would definately pay to get a bath tub and DH doesn't want to spend 14 nights in a stale smokey environment. The exchange rate is good and so $25 is not too much for us but the hastle of moving to what should be a standard room seems a little trying but for a two week stay imho well worth it.

If I could get a DTD view at SSR that would be an even bigger bonus and I would pay double!!!! Do you think these will be offered at higher points when the rest of SSR is opened up?

This is something I didnt know. Once your room is assigned and you dont like it you have to pay $25.00 to move to another? Is it to cover the cleaning of the 1st room?

Interesting.

For a few days, I would stick it out with the first room. For longer stays if the "perfect room" bacame available then I would like to be switched. Dont get me wrong, there is jut something with the dumpster view I dont like ;)

It's $25 for studios to reclean the room. It's $30 for 1 bedrooms, $40 for 2 bedrooms, $60 for grand villas.

What happens if we walk in, don't like the room and walk back out? We havn't touched anything. We didn't use anything. Will they still charge us the $25?

Because if this is true, I'm staying at the Front Desk and haggle over rooms until I'm satisfied.

Went to a 1 bedroom at the BWV and the stove was not in working order. Got another room and was not charged for this.

They don't charge for maintenance issues. If you go right back to the front desk, they probably would not charge you but you could haggle all night, they may not have a better room available.

Forgive my ignorance - what exactly is the naughty list and does it really exist

The points are basically set once the units are sold. The one thing they still could do would be to lower the points for some of the unsold, perhaps less desirable buildings. But I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

They could also make the DD view a guaranteed booking category like the Boardwalk View at BWV. This has a greater likelihood, IMO, but it will probably take a few years before it happens. BWV was open for about 6 or 7 years before the complaints piled-up to the point of guaranteeing that view.
