But didn't get stitches, how long did it take you to heal?

On Wed I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and they weren't impacted so they just pulled them out and that was it. I was awake for it and just had the area numbed. I was in a lot of pain that first day. But I still have not eaten on that side of my mouth because I am so worried about food getting in there! I am still a bit uncomfortable too, but not in pain. Anyway just wondering how long the big holes in my mouth will close! ;). Sorry if this is TMI!

about a week or two afterwards you will feel back to normal.

It took about 2 weeks for me too, but I had to be put out (mine were hiding...).

Did they give you a plastic syringe to "wash" out the area with mouth wash after you eat? It's a good thing to have.

Had the last two pulled out in November. Basically takes a few weeks for the holes to minimize, now they are barely a wrinkle back there.

I would be cautious about using the syringe to clean them out. The oral surgeon instructed me not to brush back there and gave me an oral rinse to use the day after. He specifically wanted me to avoid swishing the rinse around to get anything out of the holes because of the risk of dislodging the clots and causing dry sockets. He literally told me to put the rinse in my mouth and tip my head side to side to move it around my mouth.
