I've been, and I don't anticipate ever doing it again.
Years and years ago -- before our
Walmart was 24 hours -- they opened the doors and everyone acted foolishly in an attempt to get into the store. Now that we have a 24 hour SuperWalmart, people are already IN the store when "the time" arrives, and they can go ahead and get the items . . . but the cashiers don't sell them for the special price 'til X:00. This is better, but pushing and shoving still goes on.
Anyway, here's why I won't go again: I saw just too much bad behavior, and I don't want to be a part of it. Too many people are just combative. The worst thing I saw was two women fist fighting over the last bicycle . . . and while they were fighting, another woman came and took the bicycle -- they were both so intent on fighting that they didn't even realize they'd both lost the prize! I don't want to be accidentally caught up in that kind of thing, and it could happen so easily. You know what I mean: it's very possible that someone could want the item I have, or I could be too close to a couple people just before a fight breaks out. The potential savings aren't worth that kind of trouble.
