We are going to be in Disney the first week of Oct and originally had not planned to do the MNSSHP at all b/c it did not seem worth it. Now we are thinking more on it..

Can you guys who have been before tell me anything about it? What all are you getting for the money you spend on tickets? It just seems like a lot to pay just to stay in the park and see parades..lol We just figured we could spend that money to get an extra night there better than going to the party. Then again we hate to not do it if it is something really great.

So can anyone tell me all about it or share pics to help us make our minds up?

Is it worth the money or had you rather spend that money on spending another night in Disney?

Thanks for any advice! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Whoo Hoo! The first to reply. Okay, here you go. We went for the first time last Sept. and loved it. I was skeptical at first on spending the money, but come on, it's Disney. Since when have they NOT pulled out all the stops on everything they do? From the moment you enter the gates the front of MK is decorated with red, purple, green, orange lights and smoke encircling the gardens. There are giant pumpkins in the gardens with corn stalks and mums everywhere as well. The music that is played is from all of the villians like Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, Ursula, etc. They have projections of witches and pumpkins flying through the air which you can see on the buildings. The lamp posts are decorated with signs for the party and mums are on each one as well. The castle keeps it's spooky look to it as smoke encircles it as well. Throughout the park are candy stops where the kids get to walk up and get candy from various cast members spread throughout the park. Be sure to get a map when you walk in so you'll know where to go. Toontown is extremely busy with everyone waiting to get a pic with Mickey dressed up as a Scarecrow. All of the characters are dressed up in costumes. Be sure to get a good spot for the parade. About 10-15 minutes before the actual parade comes your way the Headless Horseman rides through town and down Main Street. Very cool! The parade of course, has been taken over by the villians as has Wishes. Instead of the typical Wishes they do every night they have a special Wishes for the party. It's done with all of the Villians singing and saying their hello's. Oh, before the parade starts there is a good show put on by the villians. It's really cool. Be sure you're up at the foot of the castle to see it. Then you can get your pic and autograph with them when they finish. I hope this helps. It was our most fun part of the trip. Oh and be sure you guys dress up. Yes, even you guys (the parents). It makes the night even more fun. Enjoy.

Hi,
I can't exactly put my finger on it,but i will try too.last oct we went for ds b-day and bought a mnsshp tickets for one night. Then after this event we bought another for a second night and i just rebooked it for this comming oct.the magic kingdom is all spoofed up for the event, its not just the parade it's everything that they do in the whole magic kingdom for this special event. All of the buildings on main street have pumpkins lit in the windows, there are flying mickey mouse bats shadowed on the buildings.the haunted mansion is surrounded by a thick fog a headless horse men rides down main street.Btw this is not even 1/10 of what else is going on in the magic kingdom there is so much more to include here, but the rest is a surprise and i don't want to ruin it for anyone else who has never done it before and plans to do it soon.I would say spend the extra money and give it a try if you don't care for it then you know this is one thing you'll never have to try again, but imagine always wondering about if you did it and what it might have been like.Give it a try trust me,you will love it.

My only comment is to take a nap in the middle of the day.You will not want to miss one thing during MNSSHP.last year was our 1st of many more to come .We are doing MVMCP this year but tring to get a small trip in for MNSSHP as well.

If DD has any time off at all during those dates I will book it in a heartbeat if not next year will be set.

Like others said you will not see anything like this Entire night filled with Magic.

One thing to keep in mind is that the ticket is for admisson after 4:00 pm so if you plan it right, you don't have to your regular theme park admisson ticket. Last year we went and used our regular ticket at about 3:00 pm. When I found out, guest relations helped us out but if you are only going for the MNSSHP then you only need to use that MNSSHP ticket. Have a great one. :thumbsup2

:cool1: our first time.....I just ordered tickets Sat. for Sept. 15 it's the last night of our trip and once I found out this was going on I had to go........

Last year was our first year and I would highly recommend it. My DD was 3 1/2 at the time. She loved it. She still talks about trick or treating at Disney.
All of the little kids (and some of the adults) were dressed up. It was amazing. We found very short wait times on the rides, espically the kids rides later in the night. Towards the end of the night we just rode Snow White over and over and over again.
It was truly a magical experience.

Just go. It's awesome. Don't miss the fireworks...

Our biggest mistake was in trying to fit in rides in between special events. Forget that there is a theme park, and try to do as much MNSSHP stuff as possible.

And don't miss the fireworks... ;)
