(hope it's ok to mention costco here...)

if you book via costco, do you still receive your DCL cruise booklet? last time our TA sent it to us a few weeks before our departure date, but this time we booked through costco, which feels like a gigantic faceless agency, so i wonder whether we'll ever see our booklet...

I've gotten mine everytime.

As far as I can tell the booklet comes directly from Disney when I have booked through Costco. It's not like some agencies where they get the booklet and then it's sent on.

the rule for mentioning other agencies or websites is to type out the whole URL, by the way. So...costcotravel.com. If it doesn't appear like this - xxxxxxxxx.com - then it's OK!

I've used Costco every chance I get. As far as I know, the cruise book comes from Disney, at least it's labeled that way. The only thing different from booking with Disney directly is that you have to go thru Costco for any requests or needs regarding your cruise but it has never been a problem. The cash card after your cruise is definitely a nice perk.

We've always booked through an agency and we've always gotten the book directly from Disney, so I assume that's standard no matter who you book with.

for those who have booked cruises thru Costco, did you do it on their travel website, or call & do it over phone?

I went to book online but saw that the Disney website was slightly cheaper. Called Costco and they said sometimes their system can be slow to update, but they would check. They checked. Yep. Cheaper. So they booked me over the phone with the price I saw on Disney.

We just booked with them and were told it gets sent to Costco , Costco fowards it to us. We are in Canada not sure it that makes a difference.

I book it with DCL then email them the reservation transfer form then pay them the cruise cost. This year I get a cash card for $1045!

Every TA charges the same as DCL. They cannot discount it. If it is listed higher on the website, when you go to book it, the price will always be the same as DCL.

It's a glitch on Costco. Once you are fully logged in and through a certain point the prices will be the same. That's why you were able to book on the phone for the right price, because they had the right price in the system.
