For those that use The Guestbook Store

I just ordered my book yesterday and I can't wait till it comes in and I see it first hand. I ordered the crimson swirl cover as our colors are white and claret and I figured a white book might get dirty.

For those that used this type of book - how did you go about getting pictures of your guests and did you use the poloraid type camera that they suggest (I usually don't like the way these pictures come out) or did you use a digital camera and put the photos in later.

Also, we are having a table set up for this at our pre-reception but did people fill these out then - I don't want people to rush through this. My other thought was to set out 5 or 6 sheets at each table at the reception with some pens and have people fill them out there.

What are you thoughts?

Hi Linda. I set up a table..here is what it looked like. I was going to put on on each place setting with a marker but I thought it looked to messy. Well I wish I would have done that because my little neice didn't do her job very well lol. She was in charge of the guest book to make sure people filled them out when they came in but of course she didn't lol. So not everybody filled them out.

Did you use the pages where you put a photo? If so, what did you use for this?

No I didn't do that....I would just use a digital camera and have somebody be in charge of taking the pictures.

I should have ahd my DJ announce something like to tell our guests to fill out the pages...maybe you can do that.

My package from The Guestbook Store was delivered earlier this week and I really love it. I showed it to my DF and he really likes it also. I just hope everyone fills out the pages. I figure if we miss anyone - most everyone coming to the wedding we see all the time so I will give them a page to fill out after the wedding if they do not do it while we are in Florida.

I am not having an at home reception so this will be it.

How did you get those great pages to go on your table - the font looks the same as from The Guestbook Store and so does the clipart.

Did you make them yourselves? They look great.

Ohh, I'm so glad I read this thread! I've been looking for creative guestbook ideas and I really like what I saw at the guestbook store! Has anyone done the version where guests draw a picture of themselves and of you?? That sounds really fun, I just hope people would actually do it.

linda, i had my cousin hand them out and everyone filled them out. i was going to print out pictures, but when i got them back, my guests had drawn pictures of themselves in there, which was really funny...so i just left it!

We did a seperate table for ours and had a greeter hand it out during the pre-reception time. We are going to use photos from Randy to finish it out when I get the opportunity to work on things like that. We loved ours and I am so glad we did it.
