We did the CP package at Chefs de France on Christmas eve this year. We paid OOP as we weren't on the dining plan. I would absolutely do it it again. We ate at 5pm for the 8:10pm show.
Chefs de France was okay. The food was just so-so. I did not like the atmosphere. It was too crowded and loud. Remy did come out though so that was a fun treat.
I would do the CP package again though. The preferred seating line stretched to Morocco by the time we got there so we thought the seats would suck. But we were in the center section about 15 rows back, so the seats were good. It was perfect and magical to see the show on Christmas eve. And we would have eaten a sit down dinner anyway, so it was worth to guarantee seats because the standby line was insane. I know a lot of the standby line got in though.
The Illuminations viewing spot was horrible though. By the time the CP show ended, we were running to the other side of the lagoon. Well of course everyone who saw the 5 and 6:30 show were already there and at that point the "special" viewing spot wasn't very good at all. We ended up leaving the herd in the pen and just walked over the Canada and found a spot with everything else that was a lot better and less congested.
