Did You Find It Very Useful? More So Than The Books You Can Buy?
Or Do You Get Both?

I am a TGM subscriber and I saw a great thought from another subscriber on TGM's forum. "Give me a fish and I will eat one day... learn me how to fish and I will eat the rest of my life..." Well, TGM learns you how to fish...

Very good way to put it. TGM really teaches you the how, why and where of WDW. I found it a great resource. I think I used it more than the books. Also, since it is web driven the updates are a bit more current.

We just got back from WDW and used Tour Guide Mike for the first time. His advice, particuarly about which days to hit which parks, was invaluable. We spent 7 days at the parks and only had a wait of more than 5-10 minutes TWICE! And we went everywhere! I highly recommend his service. I bought it about a week before we left and would recommend buying it it further in advance so you can take advantage of all his reservation reminders, etc.

I first got the Unofficial Guide and read it cover to cover. Then I joined TGM and read everything I could. I felt that TGM's information made a lot more sense intuitively, plus there were lots of tips to make your trip better, and I never refer to the Unofficial Guide anymore.

I am sorry I have yet to find him helpfull. I am disappoint that he is slow in updates. I have information days before he post anything and then he does not post it all. He claims he updates everything as soon as it is posted on the Disney site.

I guess if you're looking for up to the minute information, then the Disney site is probably your best bet... However, I find it incredibly hard to believe that a person would NOT find his advice extremely helpful!

I subscribed a few weeks ago and my next trip isn't until September 30th! I don't think I will be able to exhaust all of the valuable information his site has given me... even with months to go! It's a treasure chest of info!

That being said, I highly recommend TGM. The information I have found there is incredible. To have all of that in one spot, and in the AWESOME format that he presents it... makes it WELL worth the $20!

I'll put it this way, IMO, if you DO NOT subscribe to TGM... you are only doing MYSELF and ALL THE OTHER SUBSCRIBERS a HUGE favor... because the fewer people who get thier hands on his information, the better it is for ME! :P

I agree with you Ali!!! :teeth:

I personally like TGM. We go in June so I will let you know how it works out for us. The best TGM advice I can give is that you need to give yourself time to adjust to the site. At first it can seem confusing and overwhelming. Once you get the hang of it, it has the answers. The forum is also awesome.

He has several sample touring plans, but it is not the type of thing where you punch in your info and a touring plan pops out.

Honestly, I have learned a few really cool things that I have not seen on any other forums. For me that makes it worth $20 bucks right there.

Godd luck and happy touring!

I recently subscribed for our upcoming vacation in October & have found out many new things I didn't know about...even after our many trips to the World and after reading all the other resource books (UG, Birnbaum's, PassPorter, etc.).

You can even save $3 by clicking on the banner above! :cool1:

Keep us updated...

Kim

I think you will be glad that you did. I find his site to be very helpful and thorough. :cheer2:

I am going during Christmas week, Dec 23 - 30. I haven't been to Orlando for a long time, although I know it is VERY crowded during Christmas, I really don't know what to expect.

Is TGM going to make a difference in my planning? I mean if the park is at capacity, does he have any tricks that can help me shorten the wait in line?

I used TGM the first time this past April, which is also very crowded.

It was just great, we only waited in a few lines and those were the ones you can't use FP or first thing in the morning. We never waited over 15 minutes. We rode TT, EE, RnR and ToT 3 times each and Soarin twice. :)

ABSOLUTELY! The best thing about his service is how he logically KEEPS YOU AHEAD OF THE CROWDS. So, if you're going during a crowded time, you need to subscribe more than anyone!!!

(I am now waiting for TGM to cut me a check for free advertising. :rotfl2: )
