Here is something that may interest those that go to Disney or Florida in general in the summer months say June-Aug. We fond this poking around on the Sea World site after our daughter watching Adventure Camp on family tonight. Sea World offers sleep over camps day camps and so on for your kids from pre K up to grade 9. Here is the link to the site for the camps and info.

My son went to day camp at Sea World in San Diego 3 years ago. He absolutely loved it. I gave him the choice of it or DL that summer, about the same price. Tho Sea World is his favorite place. He was only 6 or 7, the only Canadian, more girls than boys.
I highly recommend it. He learned lots, saw behind the scenes stuff. When I picked him up ( around 5 I think) we'd go eat and he'd show me the stuff they learned. So for 5 days he spent 12 hours a day there.
He may try it again this summer as now he's old enough to learn to kayak.

Ya our kids are very excited to do this. The wife will be driving them down and using our points to stay at WDW and then driving the kids over to Sea World each day for camp. Then she is going to spend her time visiting the other resorts with the youngest one. They won't be going untill July 09 though LOL.

This sounds interesting! By the looks of it their day will be jam-packed full of fun and learning about animals at Sea World. Maybe we could also do this instead of Disney next year.

When we talked to the people at Sea World how they explain it to me the kids are all pretty much hands on when it comes to helping prepare the food for the animals and help in teh clea up etc. They also get free time to explore the park. So for me 329.00 for this type of camp is far better money spent than sending them to say camp Queen E up north at almost double the cost. Plus the wife and little one can spend the days wandering around Disney property without ever stepping foot into a single park. The kids will also learn so mch about the animals and their habitats and the care that goes into maintaining such a place there is huge learning possabilities with this camp IMHO.

Thanks for this great tip! I did not know about this camp but it sounds great for my dolphin/whale loving DD8. It would also give me a chance for some free time on holiday as we travel as just a twosome.

Don't thank me thank the show on Family Channel adventure camp it got us thinking so we looked into it to see if it was available for the general public. Low and behold we found it so I figured I would post it for others that may be interested in something fun and educational for their kids.
