For 2 adults, will it take a whole day (that is, from park opening to park closing) to see it all?

I am attending a seminar at the Anaheim convention center the week of March 25. I plan to take the last day, which happens to be Thursday, off to see DCA. I was just reading an article in the newspaper which made it sound like there wasn't that much to do at DCA. I HAVE to go to work on Friday, so I'm trying to decide if I should take the 6:00 pm flight out of LAX Thurs night, or the 6:00 am flight out of John Wayne on Friday morning.

Any thoughts? :

You can probably do it in less then a day, but it all depends on the crowds I think and how many rides you want to go on. During the preview days we saw lines for the major rides of 2 hours, so you could easily spend a fair amount just in the lines even with a fast pass.

I would say a day would cover it.

I would also recommend visiting the Boudin Bakery to see how sour dough bread is made as well as the Mission Tortilla Factory. Both take about 15 minutes but it is really interesting to see the factory process on a small scale.

But try to see the park at night. The lights at Paradise Pier are beautiful at night.

Well the park does have alot of atmosphere but the ride list is a little low. If u get in on a very low day... like this last sunday...there was nothing more then a 5 min wait... & that was for front row in soaring. it can easily be done in about 8 hrs yet with crowds... there leaves alot to be thought through! the atmospehere around is awsome. & many of the atractions are not very obvious. so keep a map handy... & have fun! hope u avoid the crowds.. & PS! U gotta do soaring & california screaming in the front rows! they're awsome!

I agree -- do soarin' and screamin' in the front row. They are great. And, be sure to check out the madness ride (a wild mouse coaster) -- it's guaranteed to help you loose your lunch. Also, the river rafting ride is pretty cool. I was back in California for a sales conference last week and took some friends to the park on the 10th (a Saturday). It was dead. There wasn't anyone there and most lines were no longer than 5 minutes of waiting. Hopefully you'll be there on a dead day, as you'll be able to ride all of the rides in just a few hours and then be able to spend some time walking around the park. The only downside was the $43 entry fee. It would have been nice to have a ticket that allowed for access to both DCA and DL. It looks like those are currently only available to resort guests.
